Thomas R. Shuman is an experienced waterman with over two decades of expertise, ranging from managing vessels as small as 10 feet to those up to 62 feet, and he is capable of handling even larger ones. His lifelong passion for the water is reflected in his diverse skill set, including certifications as an open water advanced diver and a professional fisherman. In July 2024, he achieved a significant milestone by completing his training and obtaining his Master 100 Ton Captain's License, further enhancing his maritime credentials. He is also certified in FCC Marine Radio Operations, Commercial Assistance Towing, and First Aid & CPR.

In his earlier career, Thomas honed his management skills as an office manager, with over nine years of experience in operations, customer service, and leadership. He implemented advanced project management systems and led teams to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. His background in business administration complements his maritime expertise, giving him a well-rounded approach to both technical and organizational challenges.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Thomas’s is an avid traveler, art collector, and freshwater tropical fish keeper. He enjoys exploring new cuisines, cooking, and immersing himself in diverse cultures through food and travel. Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, Thomas’s passion for the water began at a young age. Thomas lives in West Palm Beach with his wife, Diana, and two dogs Ajax and Sansa.
